WASH Services & Governance

Below you can find a list of global indicators relating to Wash Service & Governance.

Tdh works to ensure that sustainable, inclusive and safely managed basic water, sanitation and hygiene services are available for children and youths among the most vulnerable, in child-serving facilities (schools, health care facilities, child friendly spaces, detention centers, transit/reception centers…) and at community level.  In fragile contexts, including protracted and acute humanitarian situations, Tdh improves access to WASH systems and strengthens their resilience by1) supporting the rehabilitation, improvement or construction of appropriate, safe and sustainable WASH infrastructures at community level,in child-serving facility and within displaced or refugee camp settings; 2) actively involving key local stakeholders, including children in all WASH interventions; 3) promoting a deeper understanding of social norms, attitudes, values and barriers to effectively drive positive changes in WASH practices; 4) building and strengthening the capacity of government actors to sustainably manage WASH services; 5) supporting the development and implementation of regulatory frameworks; 6) contributing to advocacy for the achievement of minimum service standards and ensuring the continuous assessment and monitoring of WASH service levels.
