By emphasizing on high-quality care for pregnant women, mothers, and newborns, Tdh’s interventions aim to:
Integrate perinatal health components across all countries of intervention.
Leverage digital health innovations, such as the IeDA-Maternity tool, to improve the quality of pre-, intra-, and postnatal care.
Implement the SIMESON approach, providing continuous training for midwives using simulation-based learning.
Strengthen infection prevention and control practices, especially during deliveries, in collaboration with the WASH expertise.
Promote respectful and safe maternal care to prevent obstetric violence as well as gender-responsive and inclusive healthcare practices.
