Tdh commits to addressing the impacts of climate change and climate-related  disaster in its projects.  This starts with informing children, youth, their communities, and involved staff about sustainability issues to raise awareness, and support them to build capacity at the level of individuals, institutions, and systems.  This will strengthen the ability of communities to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change and /or its impact on the environment.

Tdh also support children and youth in developing their own projects and initiatives on climate change and the environment. As seen in recent years, youth social movements are at the forefront in championing climate action and community transformation, as well as keeping governments and the private sector accountable. In line with the organisation’s own efforts in these areas, Tdh will share  technical expertise and tools on climate change mitigation and adaptation with children and youth and encourage them to be actors of change in the response to climate change
