Child Protection System (Framework & Regulation)
Below you can find a list of global indicators relating to Child protection system, sub-theme of Tdh Protection Transversal Expertise. Child protection interventions are transversal to the three programmes, Children and Youth on the Move, Child and Maternal Health and Access to Justice and to the WASH expertise. Hence these indicators are tailored to be used by all programme interventions that employ these kind of CP interventions.
Strengthening child protection systems is paramount to ensure improved access to protection mechanisms and multi-sector services that prevent, detect, refer and respond to violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect. The child protection system is defined as ‘a coherent set of actions and actors, in which the child is at the centre, and which aims to guarantee the rights and wellbeing of the child by constructing synergies within and between protective environments.’ (Tdh Thematic Policy ‘Enhancing child protection systems’, 2011).
