How to collect & analyse the data

What do we count?

Tdh count entities (organizations).

How to calculate the indicator's value

This is the sum of national and local actors that have been part to advocacy actions, thanks to Tdh.

Ex: Tdh is organizing a conference to address child ‘rights violations in cross-borders context and the local organisation we are working with in this area is invited to participate to a roundtable and share recommendations.

Data sources

Activity report, Project data, campaign reports, materials.

Data collection methods and tools

When an advocacy action is collected (see P.20), count the number of local partner organisations that has been actively participating thanks to Tdh.  Ongoing collection according to the organisation / participation of the events. Use Advocacy tracker to share updates on your events!

Disaggregation

Level of change : local, national, regional, global. . Please, disaggregate the data by the type of partners (civil society actor, government actor, local authorities).

Limitations and precautions

  • Do not count people but “entities” – organizations.

  • This indicator is fully linked to P.20. P.20 count the advocacy actions, P.21 focuses on the actors who are part of these advocacy actions.

  • Local actors who participate to a public advocacy action without any kind of partnership or support from Tdh should not be counted.

  • Provide qualitative insights on good and bad practices (what works and does not work when working with local partners).

What further analysis are we interested in?

This indicator sheds light on the degree of localisation of the actions carried out. Tdh is interested here in analysing several dimensions of localisation (NEAR Framework): do we progress in terms of visibility of local actors, advocacy shared with local actors, participation of beneficiaries.
